The Giudicarie Esteriori is an area historically dedicated to agriculture; a mountain agriculture that is certainly poor and simple but rich in content and, above all, brimming with unique flavours of great excellence. There are two Slow Food presidia in the valley, the Bleggiana walnut and the Ciuiga del Banale but these are not the only local gastronomic excellences: the potatoes and dairy products of the area are no less important.

The tranquillity of the small, quiet village of Madice certainly enhances the possibilities for guests to relax and meditate. In the immediate vicinity of Casa Gori is the Terme di Comano skin care centre, internationally renowned for its outstanding and certified curative properties in the field of dermatology.
